It’s Day 2 of the #sisterhoodshots challenge of the day. So, here is my list.
This list consists of…
4 Ways to Get Fit with the Family
It seems like we spend less and less time as a family as everyone ventures out to do their own thing. I now am trying for my own thing – healthier living. Yet, I want to bring my family closer together. So, here’s my way of combining my health goals with family time.
1. Walk and talk with hubby. Hubby and I don’t have much time to talk about whatever lately. So, we’re going to put our 10 month old in the stroller and go on a walk. That’s a great time to talk about our day’s frustrations and accomplishments. I really want to reconnect with my best friend. We’ve not had as much time together since the busy-ness of baby.
2. Lift weights with son. My son doesn’t know it, but I’m pulling out the weights and my Chalean Extreme DVDs and he’s going to do it with me. When I get him alone, he opens up more. He just doesn’t like talking to me about important stuff around his sister. So, this will be our time. We will probably do it while sister is at soccer training.
3. “Just Dance” with daughter. My daughter got a “Just Dance” game two Christmases in a row. I made plans to play it with her, but never did. Now that I’m working on losing some of this extra weight, I see a little fun in our near future. She can laugh at me while I try to keep up with the dance moves on the screen. It’ll be fun.
4. Drink water while breastfeeding baby. I definitely don’t drink enough water. My milk supply has decreased simply because pop has replaced my water for the most part. I intend to get my milk supply back up for my 10 month old. I’ve been told that once I start exercising, my milk supply may decrease even more. So, that means drinking lots of water so that I don’t dry up. In addition to getting in lots of water while at the desk job, I intend on drinking a full cup of water each time I breastfeed my baby. This will be good for both of us.
Theres’ my list for Day 2 of #sisterhoodshots!

Just Dance kicked my booty, so we started the one song dance off at night, daughter and both boys all break it down before getting ready for bed! Fun stuff!
What a great idea, integrate some fitness fun as part of your family bonding time! I bet this will be some of your family’s best memories about growing up. Have tons of Fun and keep us posted how it’s going as the month progresses.
Those are great ideas! I LOVE the “Just Dance with Daughter” one!!! We totally do that at our house 🙂

Great tips. I love to walk with the hubby but sometimes he can be too slow so I’ll walk ahead. As long as we are walking, that is all that matters.
