February Goals – I Need Sleep!

I haven’t made much progress this week.  I’ve been excessively tired.  I think it may be the stress at work.  However, I am keeping my goals in place for February.

I choose to be HEALTHY by …

Drinking water daily (instead of carbonated and caffeinated beverages), resulting in a good night’s sleep and hopefully some weight loss.  

I have drank so much pop that I am making myself sick at bedtime again. This may be another reason for the tiredness.  Say a prayer for me.  I am compulsive – doing the exact opposite of what I should be doing and in excess!

 

I choose to be FRUGAL by…

Reading and applying the first chapter of The Money Saving Mom’s Budget with my husband, resulting in wiser spending of current income, so that we can pay more toward our credit card debt.

I’ve looked at the book and read the first few pages and told my husband about it.  He seems somewhat interested, but says I have to read it to him.   I consider progress was made this week, as I have actually started reading the book.

I choose to be a MOTHER by…

Reading the Bible and diligently praying with my children on a daily basis, resulting in spiritual growth for each of us.

Like I said, I’ve been tired, so I’ve been keeping my pillow company longer than necessary each morning.   My kiddos have either read their Bibles on their own at my prompting or have just missed it altogether.  I will beat the devil on this one!!

    I hear you about work stress. I have not been eating or sleeping well, either. I am sending you positive thoughts for a more peaceful week and getting into better habits with drinking water.

    Diet changes can be really hard. I have been trying to drink more water lately too and it’s hard, but I have felt much better and more alert the days I do. Keep trying and praying!
